Manned aircraft and custom checklists

Two kinds of aircraft, two checklists

When you create an aircraft profile you are asked whether it is a manned aircraft you fly from inside, or a drone. Pick manned and that profile gets a manned pre-flight checklist instead of the Part 107 one. Select the profile on a mission and the checklist changes to match. A drone walk-around is meaningless for a Cessna, and the reverse.

Your POH or AFM is the real checklist

For any specific aircraft, the manufacturer checklist is the correct one. It is aircraft-specific, it is what you were trained on, and nothing generic can replace it. Our manned list does not try to. It covers the part that happens before the airplane checklist starts and that the POH does not address, because it is not about the airplane: documents, weather against your personal minimums, daylight, and the go/no-go decision.

That is why the wording says things like 'walk-around flown to the POH/AFM sequence' rather than telling you what to check. We are not going to tell you how to fly your aircraft.

Custom checklist items

1. When you create an aircraft profile, you are offered a box for custom items.
2. Enter one item per line — up to 50.
3. They appear as a 'Your Items' section at the end of that aircraft's checklist.
4. They are included in the PDF export like any other item.

This is where aircraft-specific and client-specific content belongs. If your airframe has a quirk, or a particular client always wants the same three shots, put it here rather than trying to remember it.
